Nutting Girl with social distancing: Toby Goss keeps up May Morning 2020with a solo performance assisted by some chairs!
Eynsham Morris have a proud tradition stretching back to the nineteenth century and probably beyond. There have been some breaks but we've now put another 40 years of dancing behind us! We have some of the most exciting and flamboyant dances in the morris tradition, and a dancing style to match. We try to live up to Cecil Sharp's description from 1908 (above).
From the menu bar on the left you can find out where we're dancing, read about our long history, look at pictures and videos, and learn a bit about the dances. You can also find out about our home town, Eynsham. Contact us to find out more, to invite us to dance for you, or to join us.
More info: Find us on Facebook; email email@example.com
We shan't be out on the May Bank Holiday this year but we're hoping to perform at least in the summer, and at the Swanage Folk Festival in September. Watch out for developments after 17 May! We'll bring out a programme as soon as we reasonably can. Meanwhile if you can't wait to see us dance you can check out our videos, keep up with us on Facebook, and if you want more, we are members of The Morris Federation which has lots of information about all kinds of morris!
